When Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of When (formerly #DAYS) and related pages on alone.plus. By using When, you agree to these terms.

Product Purpose

When lets you record meaningful dates, build timelines, display past or future day counts using your preferred convention, calculate milestones, schedule local reminders, and show records in iOS widgets. It is not a calendar booking, emergency alert, medical reminder, statutory deadline management, data custody, or guaranteed-delivery notification service.

Age and Guardian Guidance

When’s current global App Store content rating is 4+, with regional ratings where applicable. A content rating does not mean a minor can independently enter a purchase contract. Minors should use the app with a parent or guardian’s guidance and obtain consent where required by applicable law.

Your Content

You retain rights to the record names, dates, and photos you create. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to store and display the text and images you add, and that your content does not violate the rights, privacy, or lawful interests of others.

You may not use When to store or display unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate content.

Day Counts and Date Results

Day counts are calculated using your device's current calendar, time zone, selected date, and global day-counting convention. You can choose whether the date counts as day one. That convention changes displayed values for past dates and the dates of ten-day and hundred-day milestones and related reminders.

Time-zone changes, daylight saving time, system clock changes, calendar settings, or a different counting convention may change results. Verify any date you rely on, and do not use When as the sole source for legal, financial, medical, or other critical deadlines.

Notifications and Widgets

Local notifications and widgets are provided and scheduled by iOS. The system may limit the number of pending notifications, combine or delay delivery, and adjust widget refresh timing based on power, usage, and system policies. We do not guarantee that a reminder or widget will refresh or arrive at an exact time.

When you change a record date, counting convention, or reminder option, When attempts to clean up and rebuild pending notifications managed by the app. You remain responsible for checking notification permissions and plans in both the app and iOS Settings.

Local, iCloud, and Migration Data

When primarily relies on your device, App Group storage, and your private iCloud to store records, photos, settings, and widget resources. You are responsible for managing your devices, Apple Account, iCloud, available storage, and system backups. alone.plus cannot guarantee recovery of data lost through device or iCloud behavior, uninstallation, system failure, or user action.

The app supports exporting the current library and importing records from safety backups, and may create local migration backups during upgrades. Keep exported records and photos secure. Integrity checks do not encrypt a backup or guarantee recovery of every version or damaged file. This is a risk-reduction measure, not a long-term custody, complete archive, or disaster recovery service.

App Store and Platform Services

When is distributed through the Apple App Store. Downloads, updates, refunds, Family Sharing, system permissions, iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, the photo picker, notifications, WidgetKit, and other Apple platform capabilities are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's terms and policies.

Apps obtained through the App Store are subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. This page supplements product and service information and does not replace that license; its license terms and applicable law govern any conflict concerning the app license.

Free Features and Lifetime Access

Free includes up to 10 records, timelines, iCloud sync, event-day and anniversary reminders, and basic widgets. Lifetime Access unlocks unlimited records, 10-day and 100-day milestone reminders, custom advance reminders, Poster widget layouts, and celebration effects.

Migration or backup import does not truncate existing records to the free limit. You can still view, edit, and delete them. Without Premium, you can add a record only when your total is below 10.

When offers only a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase for Lifetime Access, with no automatic renewal. Prices, currencies, and offers are shown in the app’s App Store purchase sheet. Apple charges your Apple Account.

“Lifetime” means the entitlement has no scheduled expiry and requires no monthly or annual renewal. Use depends on compatible devices, systems, and app availability. This does not reduce the benefits promised at purchase or your statutory rights.

After reinstalling or changing devices, select Restore Purchases in the app using the Apple Account that made the purchase. You can request a refund through Apple; eligibility is subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law. A refund or revoked transaction may remove the corresponding entitlement.

Availability and Changes

When may update its features, visuals, data structures, counting behavior, notification planning, widget behavior, Premium offering, and system requirements as the product evolves. We will try to protect existing data and explain material changes, but we do not promise that every feature will remain available or unchanged.

Disclaimers

When is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about continuous availability, data integrity, date calculations, notification delivery, widget refresh timing, iCloud sync, photo processing, purchase availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, alone.plus and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages, or for loss of data, photos, reminders, profits, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use When.

These terms do not exclude or limit consumer rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Termination

If you violate these terms, or if required by law, we may restrict related pages, support, or future service access. You may stop using When and delete the app at any time. Deleting the app does not automatically issue a refund or delete purchase records held by Apple.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of When means you accept the updated terms.
