Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Shape of Heart (project codename: memento) and related pages on alone.plus. It explains how data is handled to help you revisit details from past moments.

1. Data We Process

When you use the app, the following categories of data may be processed:

Content you create, import, or explicitly share to the app: text, tags, links, and media attachments
Context you choose to attach: weather, location, and time
Structured index data used for recall features: timeline, calendar indexing, and search indexing

We do not generate hidden journal entries without your action.

2. Permissions and Data Sources

Photos permission: requested only when you choose to attach media
Location permission: used only when you actively add location-related context
Share Extension: receives only the text, links, webpages, or images you explicitly send to Shape of Heart from the iOS share sheet
Network access: used for enabled sync, import/export, and related service features

You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

3. Sync, Storage, and Third-Party Services

Your records may be stored on device and, if enabled by you, synced via Apple iCloud/CloudKit
Items sent through the Share Extension are temporarily queued in the app's local App Group container. The main app imports them into your library and removes the temporary queue after a successful import. A failed or unresolved item may remain locally so the app can retry or let you resolve it.
Import features process data files you provide (for example, exported notes or social data files) only to build your personal records
We do not ask for your third-party account passwords

Third-party services such as Apple iCloud are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not receive or sell your memory records. They are not sent to alone.plus. Data may otherwise be handled only when necessary:

By Apple system services to provide features you request (for example, iCloud sync)
To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect service security

5. Retention and Deletion

You can edit or delete records in the app
Deleted records are removed from app views; iCloud-related changes follow Apple's sync behavior
You can also remove the app, disable sync, or contact support for deletion assistance

6. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of data related to you. We handle requests within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Policy Updates

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the effective date.
